moira.stevenson@proteus-ni.org Moira graduated from Queens University Belfast with an
Honours Degree in Psychology and did a post-graduate Diploma in Careers
Guidance at Napier University Edinburgh. She spent a year in France , before joining BBC Northern
Ireland. She worked in Radio and Television Drama, as well as in the News
Department which included a stint as Newsreader for Radio Ulster for 2 years.
After 10 years with the BBC she embarked on a new direction,
and applied to the Fair Employment Commission to work, initially as a Monitoring
Officer, and then as an Advice and Information Officer. Moira joined PROTEUS in 1997 as a Project Worker with responsibility
for monitoring projects funded under the EU Special Support Programme for
Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE I). In 1999 she gained the D32/33 Assessors
Award in Organization of Community Groups, and in 2000 achieved the Diploma
in Management Practice (Audit Skills – European Funding). She is currently
responsible for monitoring the progress of projects which were approved
under the first two calls of the Peace II Programme.
