Lessons Of PEACE I
ABSTRACT:
‘Lessons of Peace I’ gives a breakdown of the measurable outcomes of the 443 projects funded and monitored by PROTEUS during the first round of EU SSPPR funding in Northern Ireland. It provides a breakdown of the amounts of grants awarded to the various projects, their geographical distribution and the categories and numbers of trainees who benefited.
It also draws on the experience of an intermediary funding body which, in a multi–agency approach to funding, are closest to the communities they serve.
It further elaborates on examples of best practice and relationships that can be further developed in Peace II.
The ---- ‘approach represents an attempt to move beyond the limits of a traditional funder operating rigid criteria and responding to demand in the form of individual applications.’
